What is a scrap party?

When you cut handbag parts out of many hides, there will always be scrap.  We don't really call it scrap other than it gets put into smaller bins that essentially get used for smaller handbags + accessories.

So...what happens when we have leftover scrap from our previous collections as well as limited leathers + linings---well we save it for the right time to use it.  In this case, we have been saving it for our fun, Spring scrap parties!

We know you all. love getting together + making things----who doesn't, but what if you could get your favorites together + pick from our secret stash of limited leathers + linings + make a belt bag or capsule wallet---maybe a few accessories too?

We thought it would be really fun to host these parties again!  So, we have cleared our calendar for the end of March + most of April for you to grab your besties + make a day/night of it!

We will host the FIRST SCRAP Party of the season on Friday, March 17th---St. Patricks Day----why not celebrate with some goodies, our gal pals + some green leather!!!

Party goes from 4-6pm, Friday, March 17th!  We will have light bites + refreshments while you design away!

A Scrap Party sounds like so much fun! I’d love to attend but unfortunately will not be able to make it. However, while reading about a scrap party a thought occurred to me – how about various sizes of scraps in a ‘grab bag’ that those who are unable to attend the par’tay could maybe bid on. There could be several bags being bid on for half an hour, maybe bigger bags on the auction block for an hour. That’d be so fun! I hand sew leather mocs and a few bags – haven’t do so for years, but I’m about to retire and would love to get back into designing/sewing. It would be a blast to have some of your beautiful leather scraps to adorn my elk hides. Give it some thought. I’d sure be willing to spend some time on-line on the 17th to bid on some scraps! Thanks you – Dora
