Happy Mother’s Day to all you special mamas out there!
My most favorite part of these special days is trying to find fun, old pictures of my mom. She snuck in a few more current photos, but l love seeing her dark hair + big glasses, and amazing 80s style!
I am so grateful that I can run over to see my mom for a cup of coffee or handful of pistachios. Or just for a quiet visit—-or even a nap on the worlds most comfy sofa.
The feeling of home for me isn’t really a house, but the space and energy she has created — the familiarity, and the love that is always present, without judgement + always nourishing, forever the feeling of home.
I hope that one day, when my kiddos are grown, have families + a home of their own they still enjoy coming home—even just to open the refrigerator. For the morning coffee, late night popcorn talks…or just to share that moment of love—wrapping that feeling of love in a such a warm embrace.
